We value ethical and commercial considerations equally to ensure we are always aiming at doing the right thing by all stakeholders concerned.  

ESG in our Ecosystem

Cap10 supports ESG initiatives in its portfolio and promotes further transparency and understanding in the private equity industry. We do this by:

  • Being committed to conforming to the Walker Guidelines and working with our UK portfolio companies to promote their compliance with the Walker Guidelines. 
  • Supporting portfolio initiatives, including the Sureserve Foundation for creating warmer communities through the alleviation of fuel poverty; and Sureserve’s Carbon Neutral goals of achieving 100% renewable energy offices by 2030, 100% zero emissions fleet by 2050 and zero waste-to-landfill by 2030.
  • We lead by example. As a firm, Cap10 has achieved carbon neutrality from its first year of operation 21-22. You can view our Carbon Neutral Certificate and Letter of Verification.

UN SDGs

Our Responsible Investing policy endeavours to uphold the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (“UN SDGs”) at its heart, by:

  • Following the SDGs’ call to action to ensure that all people can enjoy peace and prosperity on a protected planet.
  • Ensuring our actions reflect the SDGs at both the portfolio company level, and in our own operations, where we have achieved a carbon neutral status.
  • Having a deep-seated cultural dedication to responsible investing, we are a signatory of the United Nations Principles of Responsible Investment (“UN PRI”).

The Sureserve Foundation

The Sureserve Foundation was set-up to support individuals, families and communities and builds on Sureserve's wider ESG targets.

The Sureserve Foundation was set-up in March 2019 with the purpose and objective of creating warmer communities through the alleviation of fuel poverty; by supporting individuals, families and communities to achieve fuel efficiency and in turn, lessen the financial burden of high energy bills.



Sureserve aim to work towards specific targets within the business, such as having 100% renewable energy offices by 2030, 100% zero emissions fleet by 2050 and having zero waste-to-landfill by 2030.
 

It is very important to have women coming up through the ranks and being promoted from the bottom up, making operations departments more gender balanced. This forces businesses to look at some of the aspects that create a culture of inequality, such as childcare, and find creative solutions to the problem. Liaising with girls-only schools in areas businesses work in and giving presentations would have the effect of making girls aged 11 to 16 aware that they truly have the possibility of a career as an engineer.

Compass

Compass look after numerous young people, giving them safe and loving homes. Compass is also a Disability Confident Committed Employer.
